Privacy Policy
Effective October 28, 2026
This policy explains what information the Android game Pirate Pop: Bubble Shooter ("the game") uses and why. The game is published by Asterquill ("we", "us"). We built it to need as little information about you as possible.
What we collect
We do not ask for, collect or store your name, email address, contacts, photos, precise location or any other personal information. The game has no accounts of its own.
Your game progress (levels completed, stars, coins, boosters, ship decorations, your daily gift calendar and win streak) and your settings (music, sound, vibration, reminders, language) are saved on your device. They are not sent to us. If you use cloud save with Google Play Games, a copy of your progress is also kept in your Google Play Games account (see "Cloud save" below). Uninstalling the game or clearing its data deletes the copy on your device.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game is free and shows full-screen ads between some levels, never during play. You can also choose to watch a short video for a reward, such as extra shots, double coins, a free booster or skipping a level you are stuck on. Ads are provided by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect and process information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address (which indicates approximate location), device and app information, and how you interact with ads. This is handled by Google under the Google Privacy Policy; see also how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the game asks for your consent before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time with Privacy choices in the game's Settings (also shown in US states whose privacy laws give you the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information). Anywhere, you can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your Android settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads, depending on your device). Ads are limited to content suitable for general audiences.
In-app purchases
You can buy optional items in the game's shop: Remove ads, the Starter Pack, coins and boosters. Purchases are processed by Google Play under Google's terms and privacy policy. We never see or store your payment details. The game receives confirmation from Google Play that a purchase was made, and keeps its order number on your device so that each purchase is given exactly once and one-time purchases can be restored (Settings → Restore purchases).
Game analytics and crash reports (Google Firebase)
To understand how the game is played and to fix problems, the game uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics. They record how the game is used (for example which levels are started, won, lost or left, how long they take, boosters used, coins earned and spent, settings changed, whether ads are shown, items bought, daily gifts collected and levels skipped), crash and error reports (including the level and screen the game was on), and technical details such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, country (derived from your IP address) and a random identifier for this installation of the game. They do not record your name, email or anything you type. We use this only in aggregate, to improve the game: for example to find levels that are too hard and to fix crashes. Firebase may also deliver settings to the game, such as how often ads appear. This is processed by Google under the Firebase privacy and security terms.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, game analytics only starts once you agree in the consent message, and stops if you later withdraw consent with Privacy choices in Settings. Crash reports are sent everywhere, because we need them to keep the game working; they contain no personal details about you.
Reminders
The game can send an occasional reminder when your next level or daily gift is waiting, at most once a day and only on days you haven't played. You choose whether to allow notifications when Android asks, and can turn reminders off at any time in the game's Settings or your phone's settings. Reminders are scheduled on your phone from your progress there, at the time of day you usually play, which the game works out from when you open it; nothing about them is sent to us or anyone else.
Ratings and updates (Google Play)
Now and then the game may ask Google Play to show its rating window, and it asks Google Play whether a newer version of the game is available so it can offer the update. Both are handled by Google Play under Google's privacy policy; the game is not told whether or how you rated it.
Cloud save (Google Play Games)
The game uses Google Play Games Services for cloud save, so your progress comes back on a new phone or after reinstalling. When you are signed in to Google Play Games, the game stores a copy of its save (levels completed, stars, coins, boosters, ship decorations, settings and your Play Games player ID) in your Play Games account using Google's Saved Games service. Google provides your Play Games gamer name and avatar to the game when you sign in; the game does not keep them. We cannot read your saved game; only the game, on your devices, can. You can play without signing in to Play Games, and you can delete the game's saved data and your Play Games profile in the Google Play Games settings or your Google Account. See Google's privacy policy.
Other services
The game is made with the Unity engine and uses Unity's in-app purchasing library to talk to Google Play. These may process limited technical information (such as device model and operating system version) needed to run and support the game.
Sharing
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone other than the service providers described above (Google AdMob, Google Firebase, Google Play and Google Play Games) for the purposes described.
Children
The game is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the game, contact us and we will help remove it.
Security and retention
Information sent by the ad, analytics and purchase services travels over encrypted connections. We do not keep any personal information ourselves. Analytics data is kept by Google for the retention period set in our Firebase project (14 months at most) and crash reports for 90 days; Google retains ad data according to its own policies.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to or limit its use. Because we hold no personal information about you, most requests are best directed to Google for ads and purchases; we are happy to help with any question.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the effective date above.
